Contact us first
Email info@tblegalcommercial.com with the subject “Complaint”. Explain what happened, the outcome you seek and any relevant dates or documents. Do not send original documents.
What happens next
The concern will be acknowledged, the relevant records will be reviewed and a substantive response will be provided as soon as reasonably practicable. If more time or information is required, you will be told why. The final engagement terms will contain the applicable complaint timetable.
Independent professionals
If the complaint concerns advice or a service supplied by an independent solicitor, barrister, accountant, immigration adviser or financial professional, it may need to be made directly to that professional under their own complaints process. We will help identify the correct provider, but TB Legal cannot decide a complaint on behalf of an independent regulated practice.
External bodies
The route for further review depends on who supplied the service and what type of service it was. A regulated professional’s engagement letter should identify their regulator and any ombudsman or complaint body. Data-protection concerns may be raised with the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Urgent deadlines
A complaint does not suspend a court, tribunal, immigration, tax, regulatory or contractual deadline. Seek appropriate authorised advice immediately if a deadline may expire.
